Welcome to my world

Life - A daliy lesson is all about my experiences, my encouters and the lesson I have learnt from them. I belive there is a reason behind everything thing that happens in life , a definate purpose behind people entering our life. Every person we meet, has something to offer and something to take. Nothing in this world happens accidently or by chance, it happens because it is planned and destined to happen.

Thought for the day

Do not run through life
So fast that you forget
Not only where you have been,
But also where you are going.
Life is not a race,
But a journey to be savored
Each step of the way.
Be not afraid of moving slowly,
be afraid of standing still.

Generous Rickshawala

On a scorching sunny day, when the thermometer was about to break due to the high temperature and all the clothes were getting wet as soon as one came out of an ac room, I took rickshaw from the Noida bus stand to HCL office . Unfortunately or fortunately there are many HCL buildings in Noida and I got confused and also confused rickshawala by giving him a wrong address. So for obvious reasons when we reached the place , we could not find the office I was intending to go. After confirming with people around I learned that the office was not here , but a walkable distance away (that is under normal temperature). I told the rickshawala that I will get down here since we were already at the place I had told him earlier and it would take time to search the other building, but I guess he understood that I was not sure of the address and will take time to search so he replied "madam aap itani dhoop mein kahan akele dhondegi , main aapko chodunga" and insisted on dropping me at the correct address.
Finally after asking at least half a dozen men and searching for around 15 min, I reached my destination.I got down from the rickshaw and offered the rickshawala 20 Rs instead of 10 which was decided earlier but he refused to take the extra money and said that,"madam ji, 10Rs hi theek hain".I told him that it was my fault and insisted but he refused saying "madam koi batnahi, apne jaankar to galat address nahi bataya na."

The rickshawala's helpful and considerate nature really moved me a lot .That day I realized two things, first there is still some humanity and those values we always boast about in movies and everywhere still exit somewhere and second not all rickshaw and auto walas are that bad and inconsiderate as we think they are.
